In a major setback for England ahead of the third Test match against India, star spinner Jack Leach has been ruled out of the entire series due to a knee injury. The third Test match between India and England is scheduled to be played in Rajkot from February 15th.

India and England are currently engaged in a five-match Test series. In the first match of this series, England secured a victory by 28 runs, while in the second encounter, the Indian team emerged victorious by 106 runs. Now, the third match of the series will be played in Rajkot starting from February 15th.

Before the third Test match, England received the unfortunate news of Jack Leach’s injury, which has ruled him out of the entire series. The 32-year-old Jack Leach sustained a knee injury during the Hyderabad Test match and couldn’t play in the second Test held in Visakhapatnam.

According to a statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Jack Leach will fly back home from Abu Dhabi within the next 24 hours. The England team is currently stationed in Abu Dhabi, where Leach will work with the medical teams from England and Somerset for his rehabilitation. There has been no announcement regarding Jack Leach’s replacement. Jack Leach, the left-arm spinner, has played 36 Test matches for England, claiming 126 wickets at an average of 34.40.
